Surfaid Wave Necklace

Ventura, May 15, 2007 – The Ventura, California based accessories company, Betty Belts / Betty B. has joined Surfaid International as a Percentage Partner, creating the beautiful Surfaid Wave Necklace.

10% of the sales from this new style for men and women go directly to Surfaid International, a nonprofit organization renowned for its direct efforts to ease both the long and short term humanitarian crisis in parts of Indonesia (where Betty Belts/Betty B. products are made). Programs include community-based health education and disease prevention with a strong focus on Malaria control.

The necklace is designed by surfer Donna von Hoesslin and inspired by her love of the ocean. She designed it for all ocean-lovers. Each one is made by hand in a family owned and operated workshop on the beautiful Island of Bali. Ethical manufacturing complements the lifestyle and culture of the artisans who make all Betty B. products. With their own exclusive technique, sterling silver is set onto their specially treated leather, which has been processed by hand to resemble wood. The length is adjustable with a slider in the back. This very striking, yet understated look appeals to men and women alike.
