Bo Stanley is a quintessential California surfer and water girl.
Growing up in Carpinteria, daughter of Artie and Scott Stanley who are also surfers and owners of a favorite post-surf session diner "Esau's"
(A thirty year old ongoing Santa Barbara institution), she started surfing at the wee age of five.
She can be found at her local point break (Rincon) and has earned her spot in the crowded line-up there. Bo distinguished herself
from the average surf chick when she paddled her way to a National Victory in the 2006 Junior Lifeguards program and holds records
for the fastest swimming times.
She consistently makes her way to the finals in events she contests. Bo feels her best performances take place in larger surf. She
has set a National Title in her sights, and is currently paying her dues and working her way up the NSSA rankings to get there.

Why do you love to surf? I love to surf because I love being in the ocean for any reason, especially when the waves are big because I love being challenged. Plus the ocean is just such a vast and beautiful medium

What was your kookiest moment in the water? Snaking someone and then falling in front in front of them, I think every surfer can relate to that one
