Kayleigh represents BettyBelts on the right coast.
She spent the first part of her life in Hawaii, where she fell in love with the ocean. She later moved with her family from
the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, settling in Wrightsville Beach. Because she enjoyed the water so much, she joined
the swim team, which she did for three years until she one day started playing around on an old 8 foot beater surfboard and
hasn't looked back since.
She has been surfing competitively for just 3 years now and already has an impressive collection of trophies from both short,
including East Coast Wahines. As much as she loves surfing, she also feels it is important to make school and church a priority
and is an award winning honor student as well as the pride of the Wrightsville Beach community.

Where do you live? Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
What's your sign? Virgo.
When did you start surfing? When I was 9 years old.
Where do you love to surf most? Right out front of my house (Wrightsville Beach).
Who taught you to surf? I pushed myself into my first waves.
Why do you love to surf? The ocean is like my second home...I love the feeling of first stepping into the water and feeling the ocean spray on my face.
If you could only take three CDs on a desert island, which would you choose? Mercyme, Jack Johnson, and Casting Crowns.
Which board would you take? My 5'8 Sharpeye fish.
Which three books? The Bible, "The Jungle Book" (a childhood favorite), and "Night".
How big was the biggest wave you ever rode? 8-10 feet.
What's your kookiest moment in the water? Me and one of my surfing buddies got the crazy idea to ride the same wave right next to each other. After riding a good way down the wave, I decided to try and jump onto her longboard...Let's just say things didn't work out as I planned. I ended up with a cut-up knee, and a good-sized ding right on the top of my new longboard.
