As the leaves turn and fall wraps us in its cozy charm, we’re so excited to shine a little extra light on our November Betty of the Month — Jacklyn Lambert!

If you’ve visited the shop, you’ve probably seen Jacklyn’s friendly face behind the counter. She brings that same warmth and positivity to everything she does — full of sweetness, care, and a genuine love for life.

A country girl through and through, Jacklyn finds joy in the simple things: wide-open spaces, time spent outdoors, and moments shared with the people (and animals!) she loves most.

Whether she’s helping customers at the shop, hard at work chasing her dream of becoming a large animal vet, or off on her next adventure, Jacklyn embodies that balance of heart, determination, and down-to-earth grace that inspires us all.

Here’s a little about Jacklyn, in her own words… 🧡  “At the moment I’m currently enrolled in college working my way on to becoming a large animal vet.”

“My most favorite recent adventure was a quick camping trip to Yosemite! I love hiking, exploring, and fishing whenever I get a chance to — especially with some of my favorite people.”

“I also love working with or around horses whenever I get a chance. That is something I am so grateful to be a part of whenever I can!”

Jacklyn’s words capture her perfectly — adventurous, kind, and full of heart. Her love for animals and the outdoors reminds us to stay grounded in what brings us joy and to appreciate life’s simple, beautiful moments.

With golden evenings and summer around the corner, there’s a fresh energy in the air and Sophie Vanderwyk @sophie__vanderwyk12 brings that same light to the Betty HQ.

She’s a true do-it-all kind of girl. From greeting and helping customers with warmth and care to creating the cutest hand-drawn signs, fixing things around the shop, and bringing her thoughtful eye to displays, Sophie’s presence is calm, creative, and full of heart. She is quite literally a lifesaver, always one step ahead and ready for anything.

Outside of Betty, she’s crocheting, cooking for her favorite people, hosting, and working toward her goals. She’s currently pursuing her aesthetician license and dreams of opening a studio space of her own.

We’re so lucky to have you, Sophie! Here’s a little peek into what Sophie’s been up to lately….

“I’m really into crocheting in my free time and watching Anthony Bourdain. I [also] love cooking for my family and friends & trying fun new recipes…

“I’m also a registered minister and would love to see myself be a part of more of people’s love stories this year!My goals for the current year are to get my aesthetician license, build my client base, and hopefully this time next year, I will be looking for a studio space of my own. I’m so grateful to be a part of this tight knit Betty family. I’ve made the most kind and genuine friendships and I’m so blessed to have each and every one of the girls in my life.”

With flowers blooming and sunshine in the air, May brings a fresh sense of beauty to Ventura—and the same can be said for Morgan Jensen @morganjensennn. Morgan radiates warmth, kindness, and authenticity at Betty HQ and beyond. As a devoted momma and a vital part of our team, she brings strength, grace, and genuine joy to everything she does. From helping customers in the shop to answering your messages and shipping out online orders, Morgan does it all—and we’re so grateful. Here’s a little look at what she’s been up to lately…

“My favorite adventure lately has been going down to the tide pools with Rowan, my 18 month old. I’ve been absolutely loving seeing him get so excited about nature & enjoying the ocean life just as much as me…

“I’ve been enjoying & embracing motherhood!! It has been such a beautiful experience & has brought so many blessings & lessons that I wouldn’t trade for the world…

“Motherhood has been so so rewarding & exciting. It is truly a new adventure each day, & I am so in love with it. I truly believe I was put in this earth to be a mom & Rowan makes it so easy! 🩷 I’m looking forward to summer with him & lots & lots of sunny days spent at the beach, zoo, or at a swimming hole in Ojai!”

With beautiful color blooming and sunshine vibes rising, April brings one of the most vibrant months here in Ventura. Matching this awesome energy is our own Team Betty Rider, Annalie @annalieilagan! She’s a supremely sweet soul, but make no mistake– she’s a graceful force making a beautiful impact in and out of the water. Here’s what she has been up to … 

“My most recent favorite surf/beach/nature adventure was when I picked up my brand-new cherry red longboard from Wayne Rich @waynerichsurfboards (the absolute best!)…it was LOVE at first ride. The waves were perfect, and somehow, no one else was out. It was just me, my board, and the open ocean. There is something about getting to know a new board that feels like a fresh chapter…

“I’m really into following where God is leading me in child development and education. I recently started subsitute teaching K-12, and in my free time I volunteer in an infant and toddler classroom… I’ve loved every moment of it. Advocating for inclusion is something I’m [also] deeply passionate about- which is why I am so excited for FLOW Surf Academy’s second season starting this April! I will be returning as Beach Lead Safety, working alongside my Betty teammate Kim Murphy and her dog Pancho! I believe every individual is created in God’s image, wonderfully made with unique gifts and strengths. That belief fuels my passion for supporting individuals with special needs and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered… 

“I’ve also been working alongside Donna for the Betty Belts Surf Team!As the Betty Belts Surf Team Manager, working alongside Donna has been an absolute honor. Her heart for the Betty community and the ocean is beyond inspiring, and through this role, I’ve gained an even deeper appreciation for what it means to uplift and support those around me! These ladies are not only incredibly talented in the water but also powerful, driven women beyond the waves. It’s about more than just surfing…it’s about building a sisterhood, lifting each other up, and sharing the stoke in a way that extends far beyond the lineup.

“My goals for 2025 are to truly live in the moment and trust in God’s timing. Whether it’s in the classroom, in the ocean, or in everyday interactions, I want to be fully present, knowing that every moment is part of God’s greater plan. This year, I want to say “yes” to the things that set my soul on fire, take risks even when they scare me, and trust that I am exactly where I’m meant to be.”

“My goals for 2025 are to truly live in the moment and trust in God’s timing.
