September Betty of the Month: Maddie Bowman

Saying hello to September means pausing to see the world for all its glory and being present as life changes from one season to another. It’s the perfect time to refocus our passions and ambitions. To live a life with purpose. That’s why it is so fitting to reconnect with one of our soul-driven and ocean-inspired Betty Team Riders, Maddie Bowman, as our September Betty of the Month!

It’s been 6 years since we’ve last checked in with Maddie, and we thought it would be the perfect time to reconnect with this amazing young woman. Maddie embodies living a life with love and intention, with the ocean always inspiring her. A surfer, world traveler, photographer, and now filmmaker, Maddie is a vibrant young lady who never stops making her dreams a reality.

Here’s what she has shared with us about what she’s been up to!

“I have gotten to travel the world, to Bali, Nicaragua, Europe, and Hawaii. I am so blessed to be able to travel to so many amazing places to surf and pursue my dreams in Photography and Videography.”

“Another huge change in my life is that I got married this year. He is my biggest supporter, adventure buddy, and best friend. We enjoy fishing, traveling, surfing, and creating together.”

“Another huge milestone this year is that I finished my first-ever documentary film [To Love & Do Good]. I got to screenwrite, direct, film, and edit the whole movie, and I am going on tour with this film as it premieres around the world. I could not be more stoked to have Betty by my side for all of this, supporting me. So blessed to be a part of the Betty family.”

“Most recent fave surf/beach/nature adventure was going to Bali with all of my sisters. We got to surf our brains out. And touring Europe on my honeymoon.”

“My heart and purpose behind my creative work are to spread the love of Jesus and bring glory to His name. God is the root of who I am and where I find my identity, and He’s the one who inspires my heart to bring light to others.”

What is Maddie into right now? “I’m really into Cooking.”

What gets Maddie stoked? “Right-hand point breaks get me so stoked!”
